The Rhode Island Department of Transportation reports the following travel restrictions associated with I-95 construction and maintenance operations, through Friday, February 16, 2018:
Temporary Short-Duration Interstate Closures
- Hopkinton to Exeter: I-95 North, from Exit 2 (Hopkinton) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), approximately 15-minute short-duration rolling roadblock interstate closures for construction, during the early morning hours Friday from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. Please note: the on-ramps from Rte. 3 will also be closed during the rolling roadblocks.
- West Greenwich to Richmond: I-95 South, from Exit 6 (Rte. 3) to Exit 3 (Rte. 138), approximately 15-minute short-duration rolling roadblock interstate closures for construction, during the early morning hours Thursday from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. Please note: the on-ramps from Rte. 102 will also be closed during the rolling roadblocks.
Overnight Restrictions
- Exeter/Richmond: I-95 South and North, from Exit 5 (Rte. 102) to Exit 3 (Rte. 138), lane closures with traffic shifts for construction, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
- I-95 South: Wednesday night-left and right lanes closed, with traffic shifted to the right shoulder
- I-95 North: Thursday night-left and center lanes closed, with traffic shifted to the right lane
Weekday Restrictions
- Exeter/Richmond: I-95 South and North, from Exit 5 (Rte. 102) to Exit 3 (Rte. 138), lane and shoulder closures for construction, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Hopkinton/Richmond: I-95 North and South, from Exit 2 (Hopkinton) to Exit 3 (Rte. 138), right lane closures for construction, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
