The Delaware Department of Transportation reports that crews will be extracting core samples from the roadway and bridge decks for the future I-95 rehabilitation project. Motorists can anticipate intermittent lane closures on I-95 Northbound/Southbound.
Lane closures will occur from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Monday evening (September 9, 2019) until Friday morning (September 13, 2019), pending weather.
The work zone will be on I-95 Northbound/Southbound between Route 896 and I-295, Newark and Wilmington.
Variable message boards will be posted to advise motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
Motorists should be aware that construction personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to the travel lanes and anticipate lane shifts.
