The fuel gauge is getting dangerously low and you can’t find an open gas station… a scenario that every holiday traveler dreads.
While many locally-owned gas stations will be closed on Christmas, there are some sure bets for open ones.
Generally speaking, fuel stops along major highways like I-95 will remain open, but if you stick with exits with lots of services you will definitely have a better chance of filling up the tank.
That said, there are several chain gas stations/convenience stores that tout the fact that they are open for business on Christmas day…
- 7-Eleven
- Buc-ee’s
- Cumberland Farms
- Flying J
- Love’s Travel Stops
- Petro
- Pilot
- Sheetz
- Truckstops of America (T/A)
- WaWa
As a side note… the “Informational-Directional” signs (blue signs) well in advance of Interstate highway exits, will list gas stations (as well as other services) at that exit.
