Overnight Detours Beginning Sunday at Jacksonville’s I-95/I-295 Interchange

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will have multiple overnight closures and detours throughout the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project beginning Sunday, March 31 for roadway and bridge construction operations, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Please note that times may be adjusted to avoid conflicting detour traffic along the routes.

Closures scheduled Sunday, March 31 through Thursday, April 4 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

U.S. 17 closed: Northbound drivers will detour to Busch Drive to I-95 north and take Airport Road to reconnect with U.S. 17. Southbound drivers will detour to Airport Road to I-95 South and take Busch Drive to reconnect with U.S. 17.

I-95 North to I-295 West exit closed: Drivers will detour to Airport Road and take I-95 South to connect with I-295 West.

Closures scheduled Monday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 2 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

I-95 North to I-295 East exit closed: Drivers will detour to Busch Drive to U.S. 17 to East Port Road and take Pulaski Road to reconnect with I-295 East.

I-95 South to I-295 East exit closed: Drivers will detour to Airport Road to U.S. 17 to New Berlin Road and take Pulaski Road to connect with I-295 East.

I-295 East closed: Drivers to I-95 South to Busch Drive to U.S. 17 to East Port Road and take Pulaski Road to reconnect with I-295 East.

Please note that drivers on I-295 East can expect a new traffic pattern, as traffic will be diverted to the I-295 East collector/distributor road during the overnight hours of Sunday, March 31. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay close attention to the new signs and pavement markings.

This work is part of a new phase of construction on the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project. The interchange upgrades are part of an important effort to promote economic growth and development in the region.
