Overnight Detours Planned for Jacksonville’s I-95/I-295 North Interchange

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will have multiple overnight closures and detours in place throughout the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project in Jacksonville beginning Sunday, February 18 for overhead sign installation and roadway construction, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.

Please note that times may be adjusted to avoid conflicting detour traffic along the routes.

Closures scheduled Sunday, February 18 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-295 East closed: Drivers will detour to I-95 South, take the Busch Drive exit and take U.S. 17 to reconnect with I-295 East.
  • I-95 South to I-295 East closed: Drivers will detour to the Airport Road exit and take U.S. 17 to connect with I-295 East.

Closure scheduled Monday, February 19 through Thursday, February 22 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-295 East exit to I-95 North closed: Drivers will detour to the U.S. 17 exit and take I-295 West to connect to I-95 northbound.

Closure scheduled Monday, February 19 and Tuesday, February 20 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning:

  • I-95 North closed: Drivers will detour to I-295 East, take the U.S. 17 exit and take Airport Road to reconnect with I-95 North.

This work is part of a new phase of construction on the I-95/I-295 North Interchange Operational Improvements project. The interchange upgrades are part of an important effort to promote economic growth and development in the region.
