The Delaware Department of Transportation reports that I-295 southbound between Exit 5/Route 141 northbound and I-95 southbound will be closed from 9:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2022, to 5:00 am on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.
Additionally, the left three (3) lanes of I-95 southbound will be closed between the merge with I-495 southbound and just south of the Route141 Interchange. Two lanes of I-95 southbound will remain open at all times during this work.
Both operations are necessary for the installation of recessed pavement markers.
Detour route:
Motorists traveling southbound on I-295 to I-95 southbound will take Exit 5/Route 141 northbound (Newport) and then take Exit 3 B/I-95 southbound.
