The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) reports the following I-95 road and lane closures, effective for the week of August 8-14, 2026. All schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.
Providence: All travel lanes are shifted to the right on I-95 North, between the Rte. 10/Elmwood Ave. off-ramp (Exit 33) and the Thurbers Avenue off-ramp (Exit 35), for replacement of the Broad and Eddy Street Bridges in Providence through 2027.
Providence: I-95 at Eddy Street, all lanes are narrowed and shifted to the left on I-95 North and South at this overpass, located near the Thurbers Avenue (Exit 35) interchange for bridge work until further notice.
Warwick: The on-ramp from Jefferson Boulevard to I-95 South in Warwick is closed for bridge construction through summer 2027. During the closure, all traffic on Jefferson Boulevard heading to I-95 South should use the on-ramp to the Airport Connector outbound, located about ½ mile south of the intersection of Jefferson Boulevard, Kilvert Street, and Coronado Road.
