Lane Closures on I-95 and I-395 in South Florida This Week

The Florida Department of Transportation reports the following closures on I-95 and I-395 will be scheduled as noted below to allow the project contractor to perform preliminary soil boring operations:

  • Sunday, October 7 through Wednesday, October 10 – One eastbound lane on I-395 will be closed from Biscayne Boulevard to approximately the MacArthur Causeway Bridge between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
  • Tuesday, October 9 through Saturday, October 13 – One lane on southbound I-95 will be closed near the eastbound I-395 exit ramp (the ramp will remain open). Closure hours are from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Tuesday through Thursday) and from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. (Friday and Saturday).

Please note that this schedule may change due to bad weather or other unforeseen conditions.

The closures are part of the I-395/SR 836/I-95 Design-Build Project that will reconstruct the I-395 corridor from the SR 836/I-395/I-95 (Midtown) Interchange to the MacArthur Causeway Bridge, including the construction of a Signature Bridge over NE 2 Avenue and Biscayne Boulevard; double-deck SR 836 from west of NW 17 Avenue to the Midtown Interchange and the replacement of the concrete pavement on I-95 from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street.
