At Jamestown Settlement, a museum 17th-century Virginia, enjoy interpretive programs that compare and contrast English holiday traditions. Enjoy period musical entertainment and appearances at Jamestown Settlement by the Lord of Misrule.

Indoors, experience refreshed permanent exhibition galleries that share stories of Powhatan Indian, English and African cultures through immersive exhibits with dioramas, artifacts and short films, and a new 4-D experiential film. View “TENACITY: Women in Jamestown and Early Virginia,” a yearlong special exhibition on display through January 4, 2020.

Looking for how holidays were celebrated in the 18th century? “Christmastide in Virginia” programs also presented at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.

American Revolution Museum at Yorktown admission: $15.00 adults, $7.50 ages 6-12. Children under 6 are free. Parking is free.
